BPGP: African Red Tea Kit, Part II

Apr 5, 2012

In January, I purchased the African Red Tea Kit by Ole Henriksen ($68) because in addition to having adult acne, I also have aging skin.  And since this kit basically saved my Mother’s skin after a summer of wind and sun exposure without SPF, I figured it was worth a try.

Usually when you buy a beauty kit, some of the products are awesome, some of the products aren’t worth the containers in which they are packaged.  This kit is different.  Every product is good, but some products are epic.

If I could only buy one product from the Red Tea line, I would buy the African Red Tea Face Mist ($28).  Packed full of antioxidants, I dab a bit of this on my face and in the morning after my serums.  It has a calming effect and it also brightens my skin.  This is critical on early mornings.

Also on the list of beloved products, Feel the Difference Perfecting Mask ($35).  It’s difficult to explain what this does, because it is like no mask I have ever used before.

It goes on as a sheer gel-like veil.  Within seconds, a cooling tingle begins. By the time the ten minutes are up, my skin is much less red and by the next morning, small scratches or blemishes are dramatically healed.

The last product that I would recommend is the moisturizer called Express The Truth ($65).  Loaded with Vitamin C and antioxidants, this is a great moisturizer for women with aging skin.  I am still partial to Ole’s Sheer Transformation ($45) for my acnegenic skin, but I have been alternating Express the Truth in with my night creme.

Bottom line, these are great products.  And if you’ve never tried Ole’s products before, this is a great kit to get you started.

Belle, do you like this mask better or the GlamGlow mask you posted about before?

I would love to try these products! Do I smell a give-away in the near future?? 🙂

Did it help with wrinkles/aging because I am 30 and I feel like I aged 5 years in the past 5 months.

I started using Ole Henriksen products about 6 weeks ago and I love them I got a variety pack starter kit for a birthday present that came with this African Red Tea cleanser as well as the truth serum and some eye gel

I really like the cleanser that came in my set and I've even ordered it in the full size bottle (but I didn't try the mist, now I want that too). The eye gel is also lovely, and everything has such pleasant smells. I have noticed the texture of my skin appears to be looking much better, I have somewhat sensitive skin and while I wasn't having break outs per se, but I was getting tiny bumps on my T-zone with rough skin and that has almost completely cleared up!!

The cucumber face mist is the best! So refreshing!

Hearing how amazing Ole Henriksen's products are makes me really sad, because they have chamomile in them (I'm allergic) … it's probably similar to how you feel when people tell you about amazing sulfur products. Blocked from better skin by missing enzymes (or whatever causes allergies) in our body… Sigh!

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
