Tuesday Shoes-Day: Velvet Shoes for Fall

Sep 12, 2017

I can’t help myself. I love the look of velvet shoes.  I love the idea of velvet shoes.  In a rainy climate, they’re not the most practical, but I need a pair for fall.

Looking for pumps? These Sam Edelman Hazel pumps in raspberry velvet are a mid-price wonder that are perfect for special events.  I also love these affordable INC ankle-strap heels in a selection of colors and their gorgeous jade green velvet pumps.  Need wide shoes? Eloquii has these gorgeous navy block heels.

Want to fully embrace the trend with a unique shoe that’s also comfortable?  Ann Taylor has a grown up Mary Jane in burgundy velvet that is totally lust-worthy.

Looking for booties?  Kill two trends with one shoe, these Sole Society embroidered booties are the stuff blogger dreams are made from.  Or go cool and casual with these Dune Pippa boots.

Looking for flats? Boden has a great, simple slingback.  These lace-up Chinese Laundry flats in blush-pink are also worth a look.  For something bold and moody, these t-strap flats in a velvet floral will bring a pop of cool to any outfit.

Want the pair I bought?  Then don’t miss these $39 Camilla flats with embellished vamps from Target.

I love the look of velvet shoes, but I can’t even commit to suede for fear of destruction. I’ll just admire from afar. 🙂

I also have been lusting after fall suede pumps and you left my two faves off the list:
1.)The Marc Fisher Jenny pump in Burgundy velvet (I’ve seen these in person and SWOON): https://www.lordandtaylor.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442374782&R=191408159558&P_name=Marc+Fisher+LTD&sid=15E777DCA05A&Ntt=velvet+pump&N=0&bmUID=lVR_RWt
    and
2.) The J. Crew Avery Pump in Emerald:

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
