The Edit: Shopbop Fall 2017 Sale

Sep 28, 2017

Shopbop’s epic fall sale is on for the next two days.  With code EOTS17, you save 20% on orders under-$500 and 25% on orders over $500.  The discount applies to both full-price and sale items.

There are essentially two ways to work a progressive sale: 1) pick up one or two affordable pieces to bring some spice to your wardrobe, or 2) get a discount on a splurge-level item that you’ve wanted (saved for) for a while.  Regardless which path you choose–affordable trend pieces or lifetime classics–these are my best picks from the Shopbop sale.

  1. Casey Talbot says:

Hi! Tragic I know, but the Canada Goose jacket is excluded. 🙁 It had me fooled, too.

  2. Sara says:

The parka and the bag aren’t included in the sale.

  3. Annie says:

FYI – I just went to order the Canada Goose Parka and the item is excluded from the sale promo. Thanks.

  4. Sarah says:

Coyote fur? Seriously? Anyone who buys Canada Goose is either totally uninformed or completely heartless. Disappointing that you would purchase, let alone feature their products.

  5. Cate says:

You bought a $900 winter coat for a sporting event? That feels a little crazy, must have been a very cold event!??

    • Belle says:

Since my family lives in Montana and likes snowmobiling and skiing, I knew I’d get more wear out of it. I just didn’t want being frozen in 20 degree temps to ruin the Super Bowl for me, but the Broncos did that all on their own.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

Three Outfits I’ll Wear All Spring

When I started this blog, influencers still re-wore clothes. There were no haul videos filled with the latest from Shein before it winds up in a beach in Ghana poisoning the planet. There were no sponsored campaigns delivering fresh wardrobes each month. The content machine doesn’t like reruns.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
