Friday Flatlay: Cozy Plaids for Fall

Oct 20, 2017

This weekend, I’m going to pick out pumpkins with some friends.  Kyle truly enjoys pumpkin carving and is already planning his designs for 2017.  I’m sticking with a simple constellation design.

As for attire, I’m all about this plaid shirt ($59) from Express.  It’s a tailored flannel in a traditional color palette, and it’s very cozy.  I also added their Shaker cardigan ($69) so I won’t need a separate jacket.

The jeans are 7 for all Mankind distressed jeans ($76).  Plus-size ladies should try these Lucky Reese jeans ($99).  Pregnant?  One of my friends is living in these 1822 jeans from Nordstrom ($52).

For accessories, I chose this Stella & Dot horn necklace and my usual selection of rings.  I wear the Elizabeth and James x-ring, the Yurman quatrefoil and Yurman cable crossover ring pretty much every day.  Plus, my go-to Ray-Ban matte gold aviators.

Finally, for the shoes, my Coach Frederica loafers are the most comfy shoes I own.  They’re like wearing slippers outside.  They didn’t remake this style this season, but you can still find them at Outlet stores and on eBay.

I love the constellation pumpkin! I haven’t seen that before

Oh this makes me wish it was cool and crisp during the fall in SoCal. It’s going to be 92 on Sunday and our jack-o-lanterns are rotting on the porch already. I’m ready for button ups and plaids and jackets.

I bought a similar pair of coach loafers at dsw earlier this fall. Unfortunately I can’t find a picture because apparently dsw won’t show/sell coach online-it’s in store only. But mine are just like slippers, too!

I had to do a double take on those 7 for all Mankind jeans (was wondering / hoping the price had dropped since I last bought a pair!). Unfortunately, they are listed at $186 on the website you link to, not $76. 🙁

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
