For years, I’ve been building my outfit posts (Two Ways, etc.) in Polyvore.  A few weeks back, that platform was taken offline.  I’m re-learning Photoshop, but it’s a slow process.  The Pieced Together posts are a temporary solution to this issue.

This outfit is perfect for those big Monday meetings when your expected to be at your best, but your head is still getting back into the game.  It’s simple, neutral and professional.  It’s also built out of versatile pieces that you can mix-and-match with your wardrobe staples.

J.Crew Going Out Blazer ($148, petite/tall)

H&M Creped Top ($39)

I like the shape of this blue-grey blouse.  The slight peplum and the flutter sleeve are feminine, but the effect is still professional.  The blouse also comes in ivory.

Edie Full Length Trouser ($90, petite/tall)

In defiance of social convention, I wear white pants all year-round, so these seasonless stretch pants are perfect for me.  They have a straight, but not skinny fit and simple look.

LK Bennett Floret Pump ($236)

These sleek pumps are the perfect balance for this outfit.  Black would be too harsh, a pale grey would just get lost.  These mid-charcoal pumps pair well with the blouse and bring just the right contrast.  Looking for an inexpensive pair?  Try this pair of Trotters.
