While we’re on the topic of hands free bags, can we get a yay or nay on belt bags (okay, okay, fanny packs). It’s fall festival season and I love the idea of a bag on my hip for phone, cash, ID, etc. I’m also embarrassed to even consider it. Thoughts?

    • Anna says:

I think at a festival it could work, but I’d be weary of wearing one out and about.

Don’t be embarrassed; I’m jealous of my husband’s fanny pack. It’s so easy to use for him while I’m shleping the diaper bag around. Granted, we trade off with the diaper bag, but then I need to grab it back if I need anything (wallet, keys, etc.). Sigh. I would definitely consider a posh belt bag if I could find one that sat right on my waist/hips. Or just accept reality and just use a retro fanny pack and rock it.

    • Caitlin says:

There are a lot of cute small backpack options out there at the moment if you can’t fully stomach a “belt bag.”

That being said, the (faux) leather ones are kind of chic. Fast fashion places should have options! I definitely wouldn’t drop major $$ into such a questionable trend…

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
