Item of the Week: The Statement Cuff

Mar 12, 2018

I consider myself a minimalist when it comes to jewelry.  I like simple, impactful pieces.  I prefer one piece that makes a statement to many pieces competing for attention.  A statement cuff gives you a strong pop in one easy piece.

This Sarah Magid Droplet Cuff has a sculptural, artistic feel.  It’s a bit of splurge at $168, but it’s a piece that will lift simple dresses and short-sleeve tops.  It also comes in silver.  For something similar for less, this Gorjana bracelet has a wonderful fluidity to it.

Gold Cuffs. Y’all may have noticed that yellow gold is my favorite.  Baublebar has this sleek Natania cuff and this woven Shavonne cuff.  I also like this woven-cable Majorica cuff with pearl accents.  For something under-$30, try this Gorjana cuff or this Ione pyramid cuff.

Silver Cuffs. This set of Kendra Scott cuffs is a good basic.  This hand-wrought bangle is a lovely piece.  Amrita Singh’s Kimor cuff has a very artsy, organic look to it.  My favorite similar cuff is this rocker-chic peaked Pamela Love cuff.

Not into metal cuffs?  Try this tortoise cuff or this horn cuff.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
